Our History

History

Tiger Communications plc has been at the forefront of telephone call management systems development for over 40 years and it is probably true to say that Tiger Communications plc was one of the only companies to have retained its position as a leading force in the provision of call management solutions.

1970

Tiger started life in the early 1970’s in hardware development, designing and building line scanning equipment for Strowger switchboards and very quickly expanded into software development producing a sophisticated Cobol reporting package for use on mainframe computers.

1985

Telephone Management Systems Ltd (TMS) was founded and began developing call billing solutions for the hospitality industry.

2005

Born Tiger Americas to meet the need of American market due to the lack of products that provide benefits such at those offered by Tiger Communications in its class the challenge for us as a company is to facilitate the daily operation of our customers, for these reason we are constantly evolving to develop new technologies and solutions which are enriched with new parterships around the globe.

2009

Tiger Communications acquire 52% share holding of Telephone Management Systems Ltd (TMS).

2010

Tiger Communications increases it’s holding in TMS to 97% and merges it’s Hospitality business into TMS. The merged Tiger and TMS are re-branded TigerTMS and are part of Group Tiger. TigerTMS re-brands it’s subsidiaries in Dubai and Germany to TigerTMS Dubai and TigerTMS Germany.

2012

TigerTMS acquires Innovation Technologies Worldwide Inc. The acquisition creates the world largest single supplier of communication and guest management systems to the hospitality industry serving over 15,000 properties including 9 of the 10 largest hotel chains.

2014

TigerTMS splits from Tiger Communications to focus on the hospitality sector.

2015

TigerTMS is acquiered by Mitel Networks to from the basis for Mitel’s Hospitality Business Unit and Tiger Communications plc remains a privet company. The time with Mitel gives new opportunities to expand the portfolio. TigerTMS operate unde the brand «Connected Guests».

2020

TigerTMS becomes an independent company once again breaking away from Mitel Networks. The independent company is now focused on providing solutions across all plataforms, allowing flexibility to deliver hospitality services according to the requierements of the hospitality industry.
